the full story

I craft the product strategy and build technology teams focused on the digital experience as the Chief Digital Experience Officer for The Infatuation, JPMorganChase Dining. I have hired and retained the most innovative and inspiring team in the dining/travel space to build simple and engaging end-to-end experiences and well-crafted 0-1 products for over 14+ million people globally. We care about user-focused & data-driven experiences by default. We strive for less noisy, more useful recommendations that drive our international growth. We make Infatuation faster and more performant. I am proud of the diverse digital team I have grown across Product, Design, Engineering and the work we are building integrates new solutions that will be game-changers for our users and across the travel & dining space globally.

2021 – 2023
Infatuation

As VP of Product & Design at the Infatuation, I designed teams and products that led to getting the attention of JPMorganChase at a time where consumers were spending most on dining and travel experiences. In navigating through the acquisition and thinking long term for high-growth objectives, I led Infatuation’s product redesign and replatform—the first update to the platform’s design in five years. I rolled up my sleeves to take on creative brand design direction as the product is the realization of our brand yet needed adaptations to live in a digital realm; pioneering accessibility and usability as an important metric of evaluation.

We launched a new Infatuation across all platforms – Android, iOS, web browsers, and even physical experiences. Evolving Infatuation’s design patterns and principles, we regularly ask ourselves how the product should adapt to the pace of world culture and social expectations for dining behavior.

2019 – 2021
Avero

As Head of Product Design at Avero, I looked after several design initiatives and product teams building payment platform, analytics tools (logbook), and design systems, all with scalability and inclusion top of mind – unifying Avero’s user experience across the product suite. We developed new features for hospitality businesses converting a SaaS B2B solution into a subscription model, providing restaurants with tools to succeed and navigate COVID. Standing up Avero’s first design systems team, I completely converted the reliance on Sketch to Figma, focused on unifying and simplifying the design language of the brand and product. We made it faster and easier for teams to deliver quality solutions and software, reducing labor costs and time by 50% to implementation. Product & engineering teams collaborated with ours to improve the product experience and implement design processes to inform their work.

2015 – 2019
EveryBell

Before Avero, I served as Experience Design Director for EveryBell Group, a startup working to bring 5-star hospitality services to residences & vacation rentals with applications and services that got recognition as Best Hospitality Tech Business in Miami for 2 years running. I took on a foundational design role at EveryBell and partnered with some of the most brilliant minds in hospitality. It was at EveryBell where my entrepreneurial mindset and resilience in solving problems and scaling technology products came from, something I bring with me to every opportunity since. I led brand and creative direction as well as experience design for their product suite. I built new features all the way to new product prototyping, facilitated stakeholder & investor buy-in by articulating concepts through well-crafted presentations – improving customer conversion and retention, and emboding the heart of luxury hospitality by being hands-on with our services delivery team to know how to better solve our supplier and user needs. ‍

2013 – 2015
Cognita

My leadership and product-thinking were shaped by my time as Senior Manager, Product & Design for Cognita where I was based in Singapore and leading a cross-functional team of 11 designers, developers, and marketing/creative contributors to launch our first education tech application called myStamford to help educators more directly communicate with parents & students. I led user research efforts to help us achieve increased user conversion and loyalty through building products that addressed core retention and growth objectives. We grew 240% after the product launch, something I am proud to say taught me how to balance quality and velocity while mastering leading a diverse, international team successfully.

2011 – 2013
HRS Group

Digital Design Manager at HRS Group, the largest corporate hotel booking platform in Europe. Here I sharpened my ability to be a growth-minded, globally focused, customer-success obsessed. I shaped growth strategies and vision and managed a team of marketers, designers, and developers. Working also with hotels and hoteliers to bring together diverse perspectives to tackle a shared mission. Building bridges between users, partners, and internal teams – I led us to APAC regional growth that was recognized and modeled for future business development. My focus in this role was working to improve the onboarding process with a focus on user research, interaction, and visual design. Within this role, I worked on all things digital, from populating the creative on HRS.com, to creating the emails sent out weekly, to collaborating efficiently with all co-workers touching projects and client presentations. With each project, not only did I focus on promoting the brand from a European to Asian market, but I also focused on the technicalities of my craft - understanding responsive design and collaborating with coworkers to create the best user experience we possibly could.

2006 – 2010

My formative in-house role was with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts as their sole full-time marketing & CX designer. I created marketing campaigns, refined event collateral, and explored new user interfaces. While my formal training is in business and UX design & development, I can’t separate the many adjacent disciplines of design and approach to users. Having empathy for all makes for a better designer—working with hospitality brands, traveling internationally, and exploring/engaging with different cultures has reinforced this personally and professionally for me. Early on, I also found out what it means to deliver to client expectations, achieving design & development engagements for brands such as Bicycle Village, PURE Fitness, NBTY (now The Bountiful Company). Lastly, well firstly, I started out working with a world-class company helping to design merchandising and packaging solutions for Intuit (including It’s Deductible Software). Oh and my first entrepreneurial gig (besides charging for lemonade) started was when I was 11 years old. I managed a vending machine (suppliers and consumers), you should have seen my spreadsheets and my project management binder #bizgoals.
